Step 1: Identify Position and Talent Acquisition

A key part of our recruitment process is setting realistic, achievable expectations. With extensive nonprofit sector experience, we ensure each vacancy matches industry standards and that job descriptions are accurate and compelling. Our collaborative approach involves senior leadership and relevant staff to create an engaging, comprehensive recruitment process. We craft clear, persuasive job descriptions that highlight role and responsibilities to attract top candidates, and run targeted campaigns to identify and confirm candidates who share your mission and values.  

Includes:

On-site visit and information gathering.

Leadership conversations, job description creation, and editing. Advertisement placement (billed at cost).

Comprehensive candiate review and ranking/rating to narrow selection pool.

Conduct initial informal candidate outreach interviews.

Step 2: Interview and Negotiation

To facilitate an efficient, fair, and legal interview process, we help design a framework that includes thoughtful, measurable questions and a candidate-wide scoring system. Once the ideal individual is identified, our recruitment specialists work with you to negotiate a fair deal on salary/benefits, timeline, and the transition process itself.

This is a delicate process that requires us to understand personality, culture, talent availability, and organizational priorities. We approach it with kindness, laser-like focus, and a commitment to ensuring all parties are winners. Only when this is achieved can we expect long-term positive outcomes for all.

Interview oversight, framework development, and ranking profile.

Step 3: Onboarding, Support, and Coaching

A robust onboarding process is essential to the success of both new hires and the organization itself. Our hands-on guidance and support go beyond recruitment, actively guiding new employees and the Board/Ownership as relationships evolve. We understand this transition period and are committed to overcoming any challenges to ensure a seamless integration of the new and existing. Our executive leadership team is available to provide strategic support to the successful candidate and to key leadership for the first 4 to 6 months.

Fee Structure

We take pride in a transparent fee structure with a clear upfront price that doesn’t include a percentage of the candidate’s first-year salary. Instead, we use a phased approach that allows you to engage in any of the four steps outlined above. Our fees are based on completing these steps as partners, with at least one in-person trip usually needed to evaluate and oversee the process.
